Step 6: Water Quality Testing

Once the well permit and the well location have been approved, the water well drilling construction process can begin. This involves setting a steel surface casing, and after, a bore hole through the formation until a water supply has been encountered in the well. Along with the installation of the casing, a formation packer will be installed to help prevent surface contamination and any other seasonal water that might contaminate the well. Once the water well drilling has been completed and the casing is installed, the well will be sealed with a Colorado state approved water well seal and the well is then chlorinated. James Drilling Company will complete your water well system by connecting the water line from the well to your house or commercial building, install a water well pumping system, and perform water quality testing to ensure the quality of your water.

Pump Systems

James Drilling Company can design and install a quality water pump system that matches the well with the volume and press requirements of your home or business. Well pump systems typically include a jet pump or submersible well pump (or booster pump), a water tank, and pressure switches to control the flow of your well water. Depending on your well design, James Drilling Company will help determine which pump may be the best solution for your system.

Proper design of your water well pumping system is critical to maintaining a consistent flow and pressure of water as well as having a system that will last a long time.

Water Well Rejuvenation

Aging water wells in Colorado can decrease in production over time due to a lower water table from drought, over-pumping of the well, or fractures plugging with silt and the corrosion of production casing. Sometimes this can even lead to a dry well. This requires the extraction of the water well pump and the liner casing.

Exploratory Water Well Drilling

Exploratory well drilling is done for the purpose of discovering new water reserves in unproven areas. James Drilling Company provides well exploratory drilling services throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region for contractors, homeowners and business owners seeking to find new supplies of water.
