This water well permit fee is payable to the Colorado Division of Water Resources and the expected turn round time for the permit is 4-6 weeks.
Some requirements for this permit include:
- A full legal description of the property
- A copy of a warranty deed describing the property.
- The water well position on the permit must correspond within a 200 feet radius of the actual drill site
- Household water well permits are restricted to household use only
- Domestic water well permits most often require 35 acres or more and are allowed for outside watering of animals and limited irrigation

Water Well Drilling Process
